Food ramblings--
I just finished lunch and it got me to thinking about food and all the emotions that surround it.
For example, I brought in a Lean Cuisine Chicken and Spinach Panini sandwich. I was feeling pretty hungry so I walked to the local farmers market for a salad and fat free ranch dressing (which I hate but don't feel guilty after eating it). It was very filling and ok tasting for a low fat lunch. So, I'm full but not satisfied. Does that make sense? Now I'm wondering--did I want something additional or just something different? Why do I feel full but still want to eat? Why do emotional eaters, which I am one of, think about the emotions that are tied to food???
Oh well, I'll just eat my afternoon snack of turkey pepperoni I suppose and pretend it had dough and cheese with it so it'd be tastier. :sigh:
Deep thoughts on emotional eating:
I guess of all my uncles, I liked Uncle Caveman the best. We called him Uncle Caveman because he lived in a cave, and because sometimes he'd eat one of us. Later on, we found out he was a bear.

I get that way, too. I don't know why. I've got these Luna bars in my desk that fill me up, but I don't love. But they are healthy. Every afternoon I get this urge to go to the vending machine for a snack, but it's not because I'm hungry, because those Luna bars just don't do it.
