I was reading the news this morning...wait. Reading the news? Why does that sound so weird? Possibly because growing up it was always "watching the news" rather than reading. But then it was always reading the paper and since I don't do that either...the actual paper that is...reading the news was appropriate however wrong it may sound. I read this excerpt from an article on msnbc.com:

"...found that given the choice, women would opt for tech items rather than luxury items like jewelry or vacations."

This is so true. Why just the other day I was lamenting the fact that John's relatively new projection TV won't break anytime soon so that I could purchase a wide-screen plasma. Don't get me wrong--I do love me some diamonds but it's plasma dude--plasma! I'm not even getting into my fascination with dvd recorders, video cameras, etc. I do love electronics!

My deep thought isn't really a deep thought but rather a question to some of you men out there--

Just how DO you get a perfectly good TV to break anyway???

A strategically placed glass of conductive liquid (salt water works) that could spill into said TV would do the trick...

I was going to say that I didn't think that was true, but I realized #1 on my "wish list" would be a sweet digital SLR camera. I suppose that's pretty tech, eh?
